We also want to thank Woburn Golf Club and The Duke of Bedford for supporting The G4D Open as we now prepare for further success in Wales.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maria Grandinetti Milton, Director of Sustainability at the DP World Tour, added, \u201cThe G4D Open holds its place as one of the most inclusive golf championships in the world and it\u2019s been a pleasure to watch its growth over the past three years. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe G4D Open is filled with inspirational stories and an incredible standard of golf. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Woburn Golf Club for their fantastic support in staging the Championship since its founding in 2023. The Championship is now entering an exciting new era at Celtic Manor, a venue steeped in history as a former Ryder Cup venue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Celtic Manor\u2019s Roman Road Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, staged three editions of the Wales Open on the DP World Tour from 2005-2007 while the Twenty Ten Course was being built for the Ryder Cup. It also played host to the Wales Senior Open in 2015 and 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Julie Hammond, Celtic Manor Resort Chief Executive, said, \u201cWe are thrilled to be hosting The G4D Open for the next three years and I am sure the picturesque Roman Road Course will provide a fantastic stage for these talented golfers to showcase their skills. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving hosted the Invictus Golf Challenge last year and worked with ISPS HANDA as title sponsor of the Wales Open for three years, we know all about the power of golf as an inclusive and accessible sport. We look forward to seeing more inspiring golf at The G4D Open and supporting the development of the game for people with disabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the AIG Women\u2019s Open taking place at Royal Porthcawl earlier this summer \u2013 the largest women\u2019s sporting event ever held in Wales \u2013 the staging of The G4D Open at Celtic Manor continues an exciting period of golf for the country.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Sargeant, Welsh Government Sports Minister, said, \u201cI am pleased that we will be supporting The G4D Open to take place at the Celtic Manor Resort next year. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is an important event in the disabled sport calendar for both amateurs and professionals and will offer tourism and economic benefits and showcase Wales as a key destination for people with a disability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tony Bennett, the President of EDGA, added, \u201cWe at EDGA are proud to support the delivery of The G4D Open at Celtic Manor, a world class venue in the heart of Wales. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Championship is a powerful opportunity to showcase the benefits of golf for the disabled, not only to local communities but also to a global audience. We\u2019re committed to ensuring The G4D Open impact goes far beyond championship week to inspire new communities to see that golf is a sport where everyone can feel welcomed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The G4D Open is also an event on the G4D Tour, which is operated by the DP World Tour.
