EDGA & Ping develop prototype new golf club for seated players<\/strong><\/p>\n EDGA & Ping develop prototype new golf club for seated players EDGA continues to expand its R&D segment by now looking at more suitable equipment to facilitate better contact and ball flight control for new golfers playing from a seated position.<\/p>\n This new club, which would be a premier in golf club manufacture, will enable golfers with impairments who cannot stand to experience and play the game. EDGA\u2019s research has shown that many wheelchair users dismiss golf as a sporting option as the equipment is a barrier, made for people playing from a standing position and bending forward often too heavy and too long to enable consistent playability from a seated position. Once produced, this new pioneering innovation will also have options to change various playing components of the club, including shaft weight, flex and length, handle size and orientation. Utilising Ping\u2019s expertise to match materials, which will maximise clubhead speed for seated players.
