As part of this development, we are expanding our Board of Trustees to strengthen our governance and enhance our ability to develop golf for people with disabilities (G4D).<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking individuals with a diverse range of skills and experiences who share our commitment to improving accessibility and creating meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities. While knowledge of golf is helpful, it is not essential &#8211; what matters most is a passion for inclusion and the ambition to support our next stage of growth.<\/p>\n<p>If you believe in our mission and feel you can contribute to shaping EDGA\u2019s future, we would be delighted to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tony Bennett<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>EDGA Chair of Trustees<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1248\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edgagolf.com\/web24\/wp-content\/uploads\/edga-454729164_917337690421715_7014146412375634723_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<h5><b><br \/>\nAbout Us EDGA<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>EDGA (formerly the European Disabled Golf Association)\u00a0was formed 25 years ago in The Netherlands as a not-for-profit association.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Since then, it has grown into a global organisation dedicated to advocacy, education, and the creation of opportunities for people with disabilities to sample, participate in, and compete in golf. Today, EDGA works with national golf federations in more than 50 countries across five continents.<\/p>\n<p>The EDGA Board has recognised the need to evolve its governance structure, operational capacity, and reporting approaches, to fulfil its purpose and deliver its mission now and in the future.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Consequently, in November 2025 EDGA\u2019s members unanimously supported the board\u2019s recommendation to move to a charity registered in England &amp; Wales. This process is underway and is expected to be completed by late spring 2026. Once complete, the UK charity will be the successor to EDGA (Netherlands) with all assets and activities transferring to the new charity. Existing board members will become Trustees of the charity, and they will be complimented by new, openly recruited trustees to bring greater skills and experience to develop the charity\u2019s objectives.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In late 2025, EDGA finalised their new three-year strategy, and EDGA\u2019s Vision, Mission and Purpose are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><b>Vision: <\/b>A future where all golfers with disabilities are fully welcomed, supported and thriving within the golf ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mission: <\/b>To advocate for an inclusive sport that celebrates and empowers people with disabilities. We support the development of opportunities for every golfer with a disability by championing inclusion at every level of golf.<\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose: <\/b>To be the leading provider of knowledge, research, expertise, and advocacy in golf for the disabled (G4D), shaping a sport where inclusion is the standard, not the exception.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-568\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edgagolf.com\/web24\/wp-content\/uploads\/Try-Golf.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><b><br \/>\nOur Strategy<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h5>\n<p>A summary of EDGA\u2019s strategy is below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1525\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edgagolf.com\/web24\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2026-03-02-at-17.48.45.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1230\" height=\"588\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As we move into our next chapter and become established as a UK\u2011registered charity, we are strengthening our governance by expanding our Board of Trustees.
