Changing lives through the power of golf

As EDGA marks 25 years of action and advocacy, we proudly present Changing Lives, a book that reflects the last quarter of a century and our ongoing commitment to improving opportunities in the game of golf for people with a disability.

This publication charts the key milestones that have shaped EDGA’s journey and recognises shines the remarkable individuals whose passion, dedication, and belief have driven our progress.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to this journey from players and partners to supporters, service providers and volunteers, that all have helped make EDGA what it is today.

Coaching considerations for participants with disability are crucial EDGA educational resources designed specifically for golf coaches working with players with disabilities. The comprehensive guide outlines the key aspects to consider and covers ten impairment categories. It provides invaluable guidance on coaching golfers with Physical, Neurological, Intellectual / Neurodevelopmental and Sensory impairments.

It is important to note that while these considerations serve as a guide, more detailed coaching practices are covered in our range of coach education programmes, which are accessible to National Golf Federations, PGA’s, golf facilities and external education organisations.

The interactive ‘slow-motion’ video footage of players comes from the EDGA media library. It is a practical tool that offers unique insight into how golfers with various impairments adapt to play the game. It is supported by generic considerations designed to assist the coach in providing a good learning experience to golfers with disabilities.
