Paultons Golf Centre hosted a field of talented golfers with Disabilites from 10 European countries this week,as they competed over 36 holes for the EDGA (European Disabled Golf Association) President’s Cup and inaugural Hampshire Disabled Open titles. The Men’s Title went to Switzerland’s Patrick Rosenast who finished an astonishing 15 under par (Net) after posting a first round score of 60!
The remaining titles went to golfers from across the UK. Carol Grinnell took the Women’s Title finishing 2 under par and the Seated Title went to Oliver Ingram who scored 3 under par. The inaugural Hampshire Disabled Open attracted a strong local field. The winner after 2 rounds was Ryan Archer who plays at Boundary Lakes, beating Adam Daulton of The Royal Jersey by 2 shots.

The standard of play has been incredible, and we are honoured to have hosted these amazing golfers,“ comments General Manager Molly Pavey. “Our congratulations go to all of the competitors, but particularly to our local winner Ryan who is inspiring local youngsters with disability to try the sport and we hope to be part of their journey.”
This was the first time that EDGA’s Presidents Cup has taken place in England and also a first for The Hampshire Golf’sDisabled Open.
