It is with great pleasure that EDGA announces the first tournament of the 2017 season, which will be held at the Parador de Málaga Golf Resort in sunny Spain

NB: When completing this online entry form, you will be required to pay the EDGA fee of €10 or €25 for Non-EDGA countries. The player fee should be transferred directly to the organisers as described below.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS FEBRUARY 2ND, 2017

 

This EDGA Premier Series Event is being organised by Real Federación Española Golf and will be the first event in the 2017 EDGA tournament season. The event will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf approved by the R&A Rules Limited and also with the Modification of The Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities. The competition is opened to all EDGA registered players.

The entrance fee is €120 for players and and includes the following:

  • Transfers between the airport and the hotel
  • Green fees for training and competition days
  • Buggy and electric trolleys
  • Prize giving cocktail

Important: A player will be considered as officially registered when the online entry form is submitted and proof of bank transfer for the entrance fee of €120 has been received. Please email proof of transfer to REAL FEDERACION ESPAÑOLA DE GOLF at comiteadaptado@rfegolf.es

PRICES
Single room: 90€ daily vat included; Twin Room: 120€ daily vat included; Breakfast: 12€ per person

 

CONDITIONS
The championship will be played according to the R&A St. Andrews Rules of Golf and the Modification of the Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities. The EDGA Medical Pass is mandatory. Bringing the latest golf handicap is mandatory.

 

ELIGIBILITY
Any amateur player in possession of a National Federation or Union Membership Card. Entries are limit to 70 competitors.

 

Unsuccessful entrants will be informed immediately after the Closing Date and will be placed on a Reserve List and given the opportunity to compete if there are subsequent withdrawals. Entrance fees will be refunded to entrants balloted out who do not compete. This waiting list will be closed on Friday, at 14:00 hrs prior to the start of the championship.

 

Competitors must register at the Tournament Office before 16:00 hours on the 28 February 2017. Place may be forfeited by a competitor from whom no word has been received by the above date.

 

FORMAT
Scratch 36 holes qualifying of 18 holes Stroke Play.
Ties for every spot will be decided by play off.

Trophy 1st, 2nd and 3th players classified scatch
Trophy best result handicap Category 1 handicap plus-4.4
Trophy best result handicap Category 2 handicap 4.5-11.4
Trophy best result handicap Category 3 handicap 11.5-18.4
Trophy best result handicap Category 4 handicap 18.5-26.4
Trophy best result handicap Category 5 handicap 26.5-36.0
Trophy best Wheelchair Player (added 12/01/2016)

 

Categories 1-3 will play stroke play
Categories 4-5 will play stableford.

 

In the event of the number of players in a category being insufficient (less than six) then two adjoining
categories may be combined
