Welcome to the

The EDGA Troia Trophy 2018

Imagine a location which sits alongside a beautiful unspoilt beach across from a protected mountain range. Imagine that the same place is on a peninsula, bathed in beautiful sunshine for most of the year and it has a course that is the best kept secret in Portuguese golf.

The Troia Golf resort is all of the above and more. One of the most challenging golf courses in Europe, Troia was designed by the world renown golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, who laid out a seaside links type course on land that was the envy of many other famous designers. Formally a Golf World top 32 rated golf course, the course enjoys many vistas over the River Sado Estuary, the Atlantic Ocean and the Arrábida Mountains. The par 72 course is not for the feint of heart with huge waste areas and natural vegetation. It is an honest course that rewards good play and punishes bad shots.

This EDGA Premier Event is being organised by EDGA and will be an amazing start to the 2018 EDGA tournament season. The event will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf approved by the R&A Rules Limited and also with the Modification of The Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities. The competition is opened to all EDGA registered players.
