I am delighted to welcome all competitors to the 2018 European Championship for Golfers with Disability.
It will no doubt be a great occasion for all concerned to make new friendships and renew old ones, and to show their skill and character.
The European Golf Association is deeply grateful to the Portuguese Golf Federation and Troia Golf Resort for hosting the event.

For many the opportunity to play The EGA European Championship for Golfers with Disability, is a real sporting highlight. For a few the medal they receive, regardless of its colour will be reward for the endless hours of effort to reach their potential. It is my wish that all players will take away lasting memories, of good golf, good competition and lasting friendships.
The Troia Golf resort is one of the most challenging golf courses in Europe, Troia was designed by the world renown golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, who laid out a seaside links type course on land that was the envy of many other famous designers. Formally a Golf World top 32 rated golf course, the course enjoys many vistas over the River Sado Estuary, the Atlantic Ocean and the Arrábida Mountains. The par 72 course is not for the feint of heart with huge waste areas and natural vegetation. It is an honest course that rewards good play and punishes bad shots.

Wednesday 6th June
1st day of the EGA European Championship for Golfers with Disability.
Thursday 7th June
2nd day of the EGA European Championship for Golfers with Disability.
Friday 8th June
3rd day of the EGA European Championship for Golfers with Disability.
Closing ceremony at the Golf Club with EGA President Mr Pierre Bechmann
Further information will be listed on the EDGA Tournament Board at the Hotel and on the golf course at the tournament desk.
Recording will be at the tournament desk situated in the clubhouse.
ENTRY FEE
Players: 75 EUR
Non-players: 50 EUR

AIRPORT
The nearest Airport to Troia is Lisbon (LIS) with an approximate journey time of 90 minutes.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS/CAR HIRE
The registration fee does not include any airport transfers. Please contact: manon@edgagolf.comif you need any information regarding taxi’s, the ferry or road maps.
Arrival Options for Troia:
Either by ferry (for passengers that are traveling with vehicles – which leaves from Setubal (Doca do comércio) and harbors closest to the golf course (Cais sul).
By catamaran (more convenient for the hotel - about a 5 min walk from the marina area – only allows passengers by foot).
Please let us know if you arrive by taxi and ferry, as there will be a shuttle between the ferry and the official tournament hotel - Aqualuz.
These two are the most convenient and fast ways to cross from Setubal.

The tournament registration will be at the golf course on the practice day.
Registration will close at 12.00 on 5th June.
Players failing to register will not be able to start the first tournament round.

CHAMPIONSHIP AND OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
Referees: Official referees may be provided by EDGA

Practice day: Tee times for the practice day will be sent to the players one week prior to the tournament by EDGA
Trolleys: Will be available on the golf course, reservations are required in the golf shop
Buggies: Will be available with an EDGA medical pass with a buggy indication, the reservation of the buggies will be completed by EDGA
Official Time: The clocks of the club house at the first tee will display the official time and will be your reference for the pace of play
