The European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) shall provide a Golf sports programme for golfers with physical disabilities in Europe and further:
- seek the integration of Golf for European golfers with disabilities into the international golf movement for able-bodied golfers;
- co-ordinate and promote European Golf Tournaments for persons with physical disabilities;
- in liaison with relevant international Golf Sports Assembly Executive Committees or Golf Sections determine the schedule for its official championships and/or cup/tour events, and award such events to an organiser, and to control and supervise those events;
- seek EGA sanction for its EDGA official championships and/or cup/tour events as required;
- assist and encourage educational and rehabilitation through golf clinics and demonstration programmes;
- contribute to development and strengthening of friendly relations and understanding between disabled golfers in Europe;
- exclusively have the right to commercialise the events awarded by EDGA on behalf of its membership, especially advertising, marketing, television signals rights and rights of publications;
- liase in pursuance of these aims and objectives and principles with European organisations and institutions as, but not limited to, the European Golf Association (EGA), Professionals Golf Association (PGA), R&A, the European Paralympic Committee, European Union (EU), institutions as the European Council and its sports department and the European Commission and in particular its Committee for Sports for Persons with Disabilities (ECSPD);
- assist and encourage development of golf programmes for disabled where needed and particularly when such needs occur within European borders.
